Students Explore Australia Pty Ltd is on a mission to connect young people with nature, as a means of improving their wellbeing. We predominantly achieve this through delivering school camps for primary and high schools across South Australia and Victoria and also work with student groups across Asian and Europe to facilitate study tours in most major cities in Australia.

Role Description:

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for working with your Program Coordinator (team leader) to successfully deliver our school camp and study tour programs. You’ll have the option to choose which programs you wish to book yourself onto, and we’ll know these dates months in advance. Our school camp programs are located mainly in South Australia and Victoria, while our Study Tour programs are located in many cities across Australia. You can elect to coordinate school camps only, study tours only or both. The role can be summed up into 4 main components:

  • Transporting our students to amazing locations by driving our little minibuses and trailers during the program
  • Physically leading a bus group (approx. 20) students in day to day nature-based activities
  • Speaking publicly to students about the places we visit, including the Indigenous context or links to their learning at school.
  •  Strong customer-focused service, working with teachers from our partner schools during programs

The Ideal Candidate will be:

  • Physically fit and capable
  • Knowledgeable or passionate about adventure-based activities (bonuses for qualified instructors).
  • Have ability to build rapport quickly with our partner schools and teachers
  • A fun and knowledgeable entertainer
  • Have core values that are aligned with ours.
  • Have a passion for the outdoors or positive wellbeing of young people


Essential Items (we are happy to pay for these, for successful applicants)
To be successful in the role you must have or be willing to get

  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Drivers Accreditation (South Australia)
  • Minimum Light Rigid Vehicle License

The role is casual, and we are happy to work with you around specific work requirements you may have. Our office is located in Everard Park, South Australia 5035, but the role will see you travelling to many places.

Renumeration:
$400 per day including super (or be employed as a contractor if you prefer). We also include all accommodation and chef-made meals during your program.
